As venue operators, the tragedy in Manchester struck particularly close to our heart. To all those affected, we send our thoughts, condolences and a great deal of love. It goes without saying that the ongoing safety of our customers, staff and performers is of absolute paramount importance. So if you’re visiting one of our venues, please take a moment to read the below information.

Security

Our management and security teams regularly review procedure and protocol with all staff. As with every live event, all arrangements are in continuous consultation and review with local authorities and the police. There are lots of things that go on behind the scenes, too: training exercises; new security measures – so please be patient if things take a little longer than you’re used to.

Your visit
Our venues are monitored at all times, but please can we ask for your help by arriving in good time, as we carry out security searches on entry.

Speak to us
If at any time you see or hear anything untoward, please speak to a member of our team – we’re here to help.

Travel light
Please plan ahead and do your best to travel as lightly as possible. As well as cloakroom facilities being limited, searches are in place, and we really don’t want to slow you down getting in. So if you really, really need to bring a bag, please make sure that it’s small (less than laptop size or a small handbag).

No. O2 Priority tickets can only be purchased online or via the O2 App.

Text 'Priority' to 2020 from an O2 phone for more details.

If your ticket states Circle / Balcony unreserved seating this is the upstairs area where there is seating available. At some venues there are areas at the rear of the seating where people are permitted to stand.

Unreserved seating means you can sit anywhere and is first come first served. Please be aware that different venues have different restrictions in these areas. Normally the first 3-6 rows are strictly no standing.

O2 Academy Newcastle and O2 Academy Birmingham are strictly seated only in the balcony and no standing is permitted within the seated area.

Please don’t stand on seats, in walkways, stairways or aisles. If you do our security personnel will ask you to return to your seat.

We ask that you are mindful of those around you in these areas.

If you book with TicketMaster, Ticketfast is their official email delivery method.

For both Ticketfast and e-tickets you’ll get two emails; one confirming your order and a second with a PDF attachment of your ticket(s) – you’ll need to print these off before you come to the show.

Please ensure you print off each individual ticket and not the same one multiple times if you have purchased more than one.

Currently, because we have to scan everyone’s ticket, you have to print off your PDF ticket and bring it to the show.

Don’t forget to check your spam folder if you’re worried you haven’t received it, and remember to print each individual ticket if you have more than one.

In some rare instances the doors opening may be delayed for a variety of reasons including sound checks. Where possible staff will communicate this as much as they can and the venue will open the doors as soon as possible.

We do apologise but we need to ensure everything is in order for customers so the event is enjoyable and sometimes this is beyond the venue's control

Potentially Yes.

Occasionally, some events might need you to prove with photo ID that you’re the person named on the actual ticket. This is normally detailed in the ticketing information when you purchase your tickets.

Some artists offer meet and greet options when buying tickets.

The venue does not have any control over the timings, contents, sale etc. of these, we are just the location that has been hired to facilitate the artist and promoters needs.

If there are any issues you will need to contact the ticket agent or promoter. Sorry.

Every ticket agent has different arrangements, the charge is normally to cover the cost of fulfilling the order.

Each ticket agent sets their own fees more details will be on their FAQs.

When a show is sold out it means there are no tickets available to purchase via any official outlet.

Occasionally a few may become available nearer the time, if this is the case it will be announced across our various social media channels although this is a rare occassion.

We do not accept or get return tickets.

We strongly advise against purchasing tickets through secondary ticketing sites.

As long as the show is not sold out then yes.

You can book with TicketMaster via their website or come to the venue in person, box office opening hours are in ‘Venue Info tab’.

If your ticket states seated then you will have to stick that assigned area on most events.

Standing / General Admission are normally downstairs areas with no seating.

Circle / balcony unreserved seating are areas upstairs. The seats are unreserved so it is first come first served. The first 3-6 rows in these areas will not allow standing and we ask that patrons remain seated at all times. Security personnel are stationed in and around these areas and will remind patrons to remain seated.

There are normally places for standing at the back of the seating in these areas. Please do not stand on stairs, in walkways or on seats.

If your ticket says ‘freeflow’ for example, you can move between the areas.

We can not guarantee entry if a ticket is purchase through a secondary site. Secondary tickets can sometimes be cancelled on the day of the show or duplicated multiple times so be wary.

We always recommend using official outlets.

As tempting as it might be to buy one, touted tickets don’t help fans, artists or venues

There is always a chance it might be invalid which would mean we couldn’t let you in.

Please stick to reputable sellers.

Refunds will only be issued if a show is cancelled or rescheduled.

If this has occurred please contact the ticketing agent that you booked your tickets with.  If you booked via the venue website the ticketing agent is TicketMaster
